Meet the Mental Health Team in Lexington, KY

MACKENZIE

Area of Focus: Individuals with mild to moderate autism

Mackenzie Hill, M.A., BSS has worked with Cultivate since 2018. Mackenzie loves working for Cultivate and their amazing staff members. She truly enjoys working with her clients and watching their continuous growth and progress across all environments and settings. Mackenzie currently holds a master’s degree in working with individuals with learnings disabilities and behavioral disorders from Eastern Kentucky University. She currently has 17 years of experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

SAMANTHA

Samantha is an LPCA in the state of Kentucky. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Drury University and a master of science in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University. She has worked with a wide population of children as young as 5, adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults. Samantha uses a variety of interventions based on each client’s needs including cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, person-centered, and play therapy techniques. Samantha works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD, and bipolar. Samantha works with individuals, couples, and families to help improve coping skills, communication, and relationships. Samantha strives to listen to every client’s concerns and symptoms and tailor a game plan that will help each person individually. As Samantha says, “I hold a space for your stories, your anxieties, your life, and everything in between. I have built my toolbox of coping skills and interventions, let me help you find what works so we can build yours!” When not working, Samantha is watching her favorite tv shows, visiting her family in eastern Kentucky, tending to her plants, or helping repair her and her partners’ race cars.
