Do You Suspect Your Child Might Have Autism?
We're Here to Help.

If youโ€™ve noticed differences in how your child communicates, interacts, or plays, getting clarity early can make all the difference. At Cultivate, we help families take those first important steps by offering trusted autism screenings, such as the M-CHAT-R (for toddlers) and the CAST (for older children).

These screenings can provide valuable insight and help determine whether pursuing a formal diagnostic evaluation is the next step. Our team can help directly connect you to our diagnostic partners to ensure families have clear pathways to the support they need.

frequently asked questions

At Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education, we provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental needs throughout Coral Springs and surrounding Broward County communities. Our services include clinic-based ABA therapy, in-home ABA therapy, school-based ABA support, caregiver training, social skills development, communication intervention, and behavior support programs.

Every child receives a personalized treatment plan developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) based on their strengths, challenges, and long-term goals. Whether a child is learning to communicate more effectively, build friendships, increase independence, or reduce behaviors that interfere with daily life, our team works closely with families to provide meaningful, evidence-based support.

Absolutely! Our Coral Springs team provides in-home ABA therapy throughout Coral Springs, Parkland, Coconut Creek, Margate, Tamarac, and nearby Broward County communities. In-home services allow children to practice important skills within the routines and environments they experience every day.

For some children, the home setting may be ideal for targeting daily living skills, family interactions, bedtime routines, mealtime behaviors, safety awareness, and communication. We also offer clinic-based and school-based ABA services, allowing families to receive support in the environments that best meet their child’s needs.

One of the things that makes our Coral Springs ABA program unique is our ability to provide support across multiple environments while maintaining one cohesive treatment plan. Rather than focusing on progress in only one setting, we help children build skills that transfer between home, school, the community, and our clinic.

Our clinical team works closely with caregivers, teachers, therapists, and other professionals involved in a child’s care. This collaborative approach helps ensure consistency and allows children to practice skills with different people and in different situations. We also prioritize manageable BCBA caseloads, individualized programming, ongoing parent involvement, and data-driven decision-making. Our goal is not simply to teach skills during therapy sessions, but to help children use those skills successfully in everyday life.

The recommended number of ABA therapy hours varies based on each child’s individual needs. Following a comprehensive assessment, a BCBA will determine the level of support that is medically appropriate and likely to produce meaningful progress.

Some children benefit from focused ABA therapy that targets a specific set of goals, while others may require more comprehensive services that address communication, social development, adaptive skills, and behavior reduction across multiple environments. Your child’s treatment schedule will be developed collaboratively with your family and adjusted over time based on progress and changing needs.

ABA therapy may be beneficial if your child experiences difficulties with communication, social interactions, emotional regulation, daily living skills, transitions, or behaviors that impact learning and independence.

Many families begin exploring ABA services after receiving an autism diagnosis, but therapy may also be recommended when developmental concerns are identified by a pediatrician, psychologist, or other specialist. If you’re unsure whether ABA therapy is appropriate, our team can guide you through the assessment process and help determine the best next steps based on your child’s unique needs.

Of course! We view parents and caregivers as essential members of the treatment team. While direct therapy sessions are typically led by trained therapists, families are involved through ongoing communication, caregiver training, treatment planning, and progress reviews.

For in-home ABA services, parents often have opportunities to observe and participate in portions of sessions. For clinic-based services, structured caregiver meetings help ensure families remain informed and equipped to reinforce skills outside of therapy.

Every ABA therapy session is individualized to the child’s goals, interests, and developmental level. Depending on the treatment plan, sessions may focus on communication development, social interaction, play skills, adaptive living skills, emotional regulation, safety awareness, or behavior reduction.

Therapy often combines structured teaching with natural environment learning opportunities. Children may practice skills through games, play activities, peer interactions, daily routines, and real-life situations that help make learning meaningful and functional. Our goal is to create an engaging environment where children are motivated to learn and succeed.

Yes. We proudly serve children across all communication levels, including nonverbal and minimally verbal learners. Our clinical team evaluates each child’s communication strengths and develops individualized plans designed to help them express their wants, needs, thoughts, and emotions more effectively.

Depending on the child, communication strategies may include spoken language, sign language, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, gestures, or other evidence-based communication supports. We frequently collaborate with speech-language pathologists to ensure consistency across services.

Yes. When clinically appropriate and approved by the educational setting and insurance provider, our therapists can provide ABA therapy services in daycare, preschool, and school environments.

School-based ABA therapy allows children to practice important social, communication, behavioral, and classroom-readiness skills in the setting where they spend much of their day. Our team works collaboratively with educators and caregivers to promote consistency and support meaningful progress across environments.

While Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education does not provide formal autism diagnostic evaluations in Coral Springs, we can help families navigate the diagnostic process. We offer free developmental screening tools, including the M-CHAT-R for toddlers and the CAST for school-aged children, to help identify potential developmental concerns.

If a comprehensive autism evaluation is recommended, we can connect families with trusted diagnostician partners who offer convenient virtual autism evaluations. Once a diagnosis is established, our clinical team can help develop an individualized ABA therapy program designed to support your child’s growth, development, and long-term success.

How Does ABA Therapy Operate?

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), a structured program designed to help children on the autism spectrum, addresses the common challenges, obstacles, and behavioral patterns frequently encountered by children with autism. Our team of trained clinicians and therapists diligently pursues four primary objectives:

  1. Behavioral Assessment
We initiate the process by closely assessing each childโ€™s behavior to gain a comprehensive understanding of their specific struggles. Do they encounter challenges in social interactions or transitions between tasks? What stimuli trigger emotional responses? Identifying these aspects provides the foundation for our team to facilitate meaningful change.
  2. Identification of Behavior Triggers
Behaviors invariably have underlying triggers, whether stemming from the childโ€™s environment or their own internal states. By pinpointing the root causes of problematic behaviors, our team can formulate tailored solutions to navigate these challenges effectively.
  3. Comprehending Consequences
The outcomes of a childโ€™s actions can either reinforce or deter specific behaviors. An essential element of our treatment plan involves understanding how children react to these consequences, and strategically implementing effective consequences forms a pivotal part of our solution.
  4. Implementation of Effective Strategies
Once weโ€™ve identified problematic behaviors and their underlying causes, we introduce scientifically validated strategies that yield tangible, measurable changes.

At Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education, our team is unwavering in our commitment to developing personalized treatment plans to assist your child in overcoming their unique challenges.

When youโ€™re prepared to embark on your childโ€™s treatment journey, please feel free to contact our team. We presently have immediate openings to support your childโ€™s growth and development, irrespective of their diagnosis.
