(October 6, 2025)ย โ Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education (Cultivate BHE) successfully wrapped up its annual Culture Week celebration, held September 29 through October 4, 2025, across clinics nationwide. The celebration brought together over a thousand staff members through themed spirit days, daily games, and creative activities that reaffirmed Cultivateโsย mission, vision, and core values.
ย
Established to mark the anniversary of Cultivateโs mission, vision, and values, Culture Week blends celebration, creativity, and recommitment. The annual Culture Week tradition invited every team member to personally express the values of Dedicated Team Members, Family Focused, Integrity, Accountability & Ownership, Continuous Improvement, and Acceptance & Belonging.
ย
At the heart of the week was Culture Day, otherwise known as Commitment Day. This isย a cherished tradition where team members recommit themselves to the organizationโs guiding principles. Each year features a unique activity: in prior years, team members placed painted handprints on a Cultivate canvas to symbolize unity, and last year they planted seeds to represent the cultivated growth. This year, staff participated in designing and creating their own Story Stones. All team members chose the core value that resonated most and created a personal stone to reflect it.
ย
โOur people are what make Cultivate specialโ said Brent Arnold, Chief Executive Officer of Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education. โCulture Week is about celebrating them, the amazing work they do and the impact they make each day in the lives of the clients and families we serve.โ
ย
Highlights from Culture Week 2025:
- Music Monday (Sept. 29):ย Team members dressed in their favorite band or artistโs attire
- Holiday Tuesday (Sept. 30):ย Staff celebrated and dressed in their favorite holidays
- Culture / Commitment Day (Oct. 1):ย Team members recommitted to the companyโs values by designing and painting their own Story Stone based on a Cultivate core value
- Future/Galaxy Thursday (Oct. 2):ย Astronauts, robots, and sci-fi fun filled the day as team members dressed in planetary attire
- Jungle Safari Friday (Oct. 3):ย Animal prints and explorer gear capped off the spirit week
Team members werenโt the only ones who took part in this celebration. Clients were also invited to share in spirit-day activities, strengthening the bridge between clinic culture and the communities Cultivate serves. Aside from dressing in spirit themed attire, each clinic planned client-friendly activities aligned to the daily themes, so clients felt like a central part of the week. Examples of the activities included mini dance parties, gingerbread house crafting, sensory jars, and finger painting.
ย
This yearโs celebration was made even more memorable through a special collaboration withย Viktor Bevanda, a 17-year-old Emmyยฎ award-winning artist recognized for his bold, inspiring designs. Bevanda created a vibrant painting with a giraffe motif artwork featured on Cultivateโs official Culture Day shirts that was distributed to all team members throughout the organization.
ย
The partnership with Bevanda highlights Cultivateโs commitment to elevating artists on the autism spectrum. In 2024, Cultivate partnered withย ASD artist Chimel Ford, whose colorful and expressive work brought a sense of joy and authenticity to that yearโs Culture Week celebration. These collaborations hold deep meaning for the organization, which directly serves individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
ย
โPartnering with Viktor brought an exciting, fresh perspective to our Culture Day tradition,โ said Veronica Umaรฑa, Director of Marketing & Communications at Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education. โOur partnerships with artists like Viktor and Chimel allow us to celebrate the creativity and brilliance that exists within the autism community. These partnerships are a reminder that our mission is not only to serve, but also to celebrate the many ways neurodiversity enriches our world.โ
