Meet Our Clinic Manager
Whitney Wehrkamp, M.s, BCBA

Whitney has been the Clinical Manager at our Colorado Springs, Colorado location since July 2015 and has a wealth of knowledge in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) both in the center and home setting. With a strong emphasis on teaching Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) to implement evidence-based interventions with children ages 2-21, Whitney plays a vital role in teaching children and their families the necessary skills to achieve the greatest level of independence.
1
Clinic based services

Children grow more independent in a safe, caring, and comfortable environment by playing with peers, practicing and learning social skills, communication, daily living skills, and school-readiness.

2
Family services

At Cultivate, we know that lasting and meaningful change comes when we engage the entire family. All families receiving clinic, home, or community based ABA services also receive caregiver training sessions as part of the treatment plan. These trainings allow us to equip you with the tools to support your child and provide your child with consistency throughout their entire day, not just when they are in therapy!

3
Social group services

At times, skills need to be targeted with peers rather than just with a BT. Social groups provide the opportunity to work on developing social interactions with multiple peers, including those that are typically developing.

4
Telehealth services

For timely support, Cultivate offers telehealth services through platforms such as video calls, phone consultations, messaging apps, and more. These services offer convenient access to advice and support, reducing the need for an in-person visit.

Cultivate Behavioral Health’s Philosophy

At Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education in Colorado Springs, our core values drive all of our services. Our key values include integrity, accountability, acceptance, and dedication — and we always include families as part of the healing journey. We are committed to promoting equity, inclusion, and diversity in all of our programs.

Compassionate, Patient-Centered Services

Empathy and compassion are at the heart of philosophy. In order for kids & teens to recover, they need to be able to trust their treatment team. To this end, we take great care to individualize each treatment program, ensuring that therapy is personalized to each patient.

We strive to respect the unique needs of different patients and diverse families and will do everything we can to accommodate our services to your preferences.

Our center focuses on early intervention but offers autism services for a variety of ages, from 18 months to 21 years. The foremost goal of our entire team is to help your child grow and thrive by providing the support and clinical services they need.

Treatment Covered by Most Insurance

Paying for treatment is one of the most commonly cited reasons that people don’t enroll their child in autism services. Fortunately, most major insurance companies will cover all or part of your child’s treatment at our Colorado Springs autism center. Our team of experts can help you to navigate the insurance maze, check whether your plan provides coverage for ABA services, and help you make the best decision for your family. You don’t have to do this alone. We’ll be there to help you every step of the way. We strive to keep you up-to-date with everything that happens, whether it’s at our ABA center.

Support When You Need It Most

Too often, families looking for ABA therapy services are faced with long waitlists, scheduling conflicts, and other roadblocks to recovery. Our autism center in Colorado Springs works hard to minimize these setbacks. We believe your schedule and time are valuable, and partnering with us means that waitlists and waiting times are kept to a minimum.

The best ABA therapy is always aimed at the cessation of services. At Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education, we provide as much ABA treatment as is clinically necessary to get closer to that result.  For some patients, this can be up to 40 hours a week and for those that are making progress, we are mindful of dedicating more time than is necessary. What differentiates our approach is that we provide continual and compassionate care for each child as needed.

Emphasis on Family Involvement

At our ABA center, the family is always encouraged to participate in treatment. Our team can teach you the tools and skills that can have a drastic and lasting impact on your child’s life. We will show you how to incorporate them into the home. Families are always involved in developing the treatment plan, and they play a pivotal role in the success of their child’s recovery.

Often times with special needs kids you have to make tough decisions and find the right fit for therapy. Choosing Cultivate was a huge win for us. The Clinical Managers are amazing and educated and very involved in their company. They have a direct hand in what the therapists are implementing at home and in their centers. They have responded quickly and professionally to all our needs and requests. Our therapists are wonderful, and our boys love them. A lot of things in my life are stressful regarding my kid's needs but this is definitely not one of them.
.
Five stars is not even enough to rate them. My son has been going there since he was 2. He started out nonverbal, limited eye contact, limited social skills and missed a lot of his milestones. Fast forward 4 years later and he is a social butterfly, won’t stop talking and surpasses everything that is asked of him. I know we would not be where we are today without the help of the Cultivate team! We love them!
.
The Cultivate team has gone above and beyond the call of duty. My son has improved so much. He is happier and all around better in his behavior. I 100% recommend this place and can say with certainty that Cultivate has the best interest for your child's ABA treatment. They truly work hard.
