If you’ve noticed differences in how your child communicates, interacts, or plays, getting clarity early can make all the difference. At Cultivate, we help families take those first important steps by offering trusted autism screenings, such as the M-CHAT-R (for toddlers) and the CAST (for older children).
These screenings can provide valuable insight and help determine whether pursuing a formal diagnostic evaluation is the next step. Our team can help directly connect you to our diagnostic partners to ensure families have clear pathways to the support they need.
My daughter has been coming here since she turned 3 and was no longer eligible for the Early Intervention Program and luckily this has been the single best decision I have ever made in my life. My daughter is able to communicate and is learning. She is so happy, and it is awesome to see her personality shine through as she learns not what to learn but how to learn and how to express herself. Seriously amazing!
From the moment that we met our team and they were playing with our son, it felt very personalized. They were very engaged with him, and that is when we were starting to understand that he would have these different goals that he would try to achieve.
My son’s personality has blossomed within such a short time. His happiness skyrocketed once we broke down that wall. Not only is he learning from the staff here, but us parents as well. Again, much appreciation to everyone at Cultivate for their time, patience, AND the desire to help teach our kids.

At our San Antonio, TX ABA center, Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education provides individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental differences.
Our ABA services focus on building communication skills, increasing independence, strengthening social connections, and reducing behaviors that interfere with daily life. We provide services in clinic and in-home settings when appropriate, tailoring each program to the child’s strengths, interests, and developmental needs.
We are committed to providing neurodiversity-affirming, supportive care that helps learners grow in a way that feels safe, respectful, and empowering within the San Antonio community.
Yes, we offer in-home ABA therapy services in San Antonio when it is clinically appropriate. Some learners benefit from practicing communication, flexibility, daily routines, and behavior regulation in their natural home environment.
If in-home services are not recommended based on clinical assessment or logistics, we will collaborate with you to determine the most effective setting — whether that’s clinic-based or a hybrid model. Our goal is always to meet your child where they can learn best.
ABA is rooted in the same science everywhere — but how it is delivered makes a meaningful difference.
At our San Antonio clinic, we prioritize neuro-affirming and child-led care. We celebrate autism and recognize each learner’s unique strengths. Our focus is not on “changing” who a child is, but on helping them communicate, advocate for themselves, build friendships, and navigate the world safely and confidently.
We create a welcoming, inclusive environment where learners feel respected and supported. Families choose our San Antonio ABA services because of our compassionate approach, individualized programming, and commitment to meaningful, functional progress.
ABA therapy intensity is individualized for each learner. After a comprehensive assessment, we evaluate communication skills, safety awareness, emotional regulation, imitation skills, flexibility with transitions, and any behaviors that may limit independence.
Some children may benefit from focused ABA therapy (fewer weekly hours), while others may require more comprehensive support. We consider school schedules, developmental goals, and family needs when making hour recommendations.
Our goal is to provide the right level of support to promote meaningful skill development while respecting your child’s overall well-being.
Caregiver involvement is one of the most important parts of therapy! Our goal is to be sure you feel confident using the same strategies we’re teaching in session, so you can reinforce them at home in ways that feel natural. We want you to see your child’s progress in everyday life! By the time your child completes services, our goal is for you to feel equipped to navigate new challenges with confidence and clarity.
We track everything through data! Our Behavior Technicians (BTs) use iPads with individualized goals that are reviewed and approved with you. They collect data during sessions, and case supervisors review progress through graphs and reports. This information is also shared with you during our caregiver meetings so you can see how your child is progressing.
ABA may be a good fit if your child needs one-on-one support to learn new skills, is having difficulty communicating, or is developing certain skills more slowly than their peers. Some areas to keep an eye out for include:
If your child has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or is showing developmental delays, a BCBA assessment can determine whether ABA therapy is appropriate.
If you are unsure, we encourage you to speak with your pediatrician or developmental specialist for guidance.
Absolutely! You’re the most important part of your child’s team! How this looks will depend on the setting. At home, you can be involved as often as you’d like. In the clinic, we do things a little differently to make sure that all learners’ dignity is protected, but we still invite you to join in structured ways! We also encourage caregiver guidance at home so you can stay closely connected and supported. Your feedback on goals and progress is always welcome and encouraged, we want this to be a true team effort!
Each session looks different depending on your child’s needs. For example, a younger learner in our clinic who attends 4+ hours a day might start with a provider greeting them in the lobby and asking about the night before and their morning before transitioning into play. The day is structured around their goals and interests, with learning woven naturally into play, mealtimes, toileting, and routines. Providers rotate every few hours to keep things engaging and give your child chances to practice skills with different people. At the end of the day, the provider will share information about their day with you. Because this is so specific to the learner, we encourage you to ask what the day could look like for your child specifically, and our team can tailor the example to your child’s age, goals, and interests.
We absolutely work with non-vocal learners! Our goal is always to meet our learners where they are and help them find the communication method that works best for them. We have several clients who have communicated solely via gestures, hand leading, or unsafe behaviors, and have taught learners to communicate via sign language, communication devices, pictures, and vocal language. We prefer to try all methods and let them determine their preference, and we respect all forms of safe and effective communication.
