Often times with special needs kids you have to make tough decisions and find the right fit for therapy. Choosing Cultivate was a huge win for us. The Clinical Managers are amazing and educated and very involved in their company. They have a direct hand in what the therapists are implementing at home and in their centers. They have responded quickly and professionally to all our needs and requests. Our therapists are wonderful, and our boys love them. A lot of things in my life are stressful regarding my kid's needs but this is definitely not one of them.

Five stars is not even enough to rate them. My son has been going there since he was 2. He started out nonverbal, limited eye contact, limited social skills and missed a lot of his milestones. Fast forward 4 years later and he is a social butterfly, won’t stop talking and surpasses everything that is asked of him. I know we would not be where we are today without the help of the Cultivate team! We love them!
.
The Cultivate team has gone above and beyond the call of duty. My son has improved so much. He is happier and all around better in his behavior. I 100% recommend this place and can say with certainty that Cultivate has the best interest for your child's ABA treatment. They truly work hard.

ABOUT ABA THERAPY

Learn More About ABA Therapy in N. Kentucky

What Is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a research-backed approach that helps children with autism develop essential life skills. By focusing on positive reinforcement, behavior modification, and communication strategies, ABA therapy is considered one of the most effective treatments for autism spectrum disorder.

At our Northern Kentucky locations, we offer ABA therapy that is uniquely tailored to meet each child’s goals and challenges. With personalized interventions and a focus on long-term growth, we are here to support your family through every stage of your child’s development.

The Goals of ABA Therapy

The main objective of ABA therapy is to reduce maladaptive behaviors and strengthen adaptive skills, allowing children to thrive more independently. Using the ABC model—Antecedent, Behavior, and Consequence—our clinicians assess behaviors to understand the “why” behind them and develop strategies to encourage appropriate actions.

For instance, if a child exhibits a challenging behavior to avoid a particular task, our therapists might introduce techniques to make the task more approachable or rewarding. Another approach we use is chaining, where we break down complex activities into smaller steps, making it easier for children to learn and gain confidence with each successful step.

Positive reinforcement plays a crucial role in ABA therapy, as rewarding desired behaviors encourages children to repeat those actions. Whether it’s praise, tokens, or small incentives, these rewards make learning both motivating and effective.

Our ABA specialists apply these techniques to:

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments
  • Identify specific goals for social, communication, and daily living skills
  • Implement evidence-based strategies for lasting behavior change
  • Collaborate on IEP and school-based goals as needed

At Cultivate in Northern Kentucky, we believe that ABA therapy should be as dynamic and unique as the children we serve. We continuously adapt each child’s program to fit their changing needs, creating a pathway to success.

The Impact of ABA Therapy for Autism

While autism cannot be cured, ABA therapy has proven to be highly effective in helping children with ASD improve their quality of life. Studies have shown that early intervention through ABA can significantly enhance social, communication, and self-help skills, making a meaningful difference in the lives of both children and their families.

At Cultivate in Northern Kentucky, we are proud to offer ABA therapy that supports lifelong learning and growth.
