Often times with special needs kids you have to make tough decisions and find the right fit for therapy. Choosing Cultivate was a huge win for us. The Clinical Managers are amazing and educated and very involved in their company. They have a direct hand in what the therapists are implementing at home and in their centers. They have responded quickly and professionally to all our needs and requests. Our therapists are wonderful, and our boys love them. A lot of things in my life are stressful regarding my kid's needs but this is definitely not one of them.

Five stars is not even enough to rate them. My son has been going there since he was 2. He started out nonverbal, limited eye contact, limited social skills and missed a lot of his milestones. Fast forward 4 years later and he is a social butterfly, won’t stop talking and surpasses everything that is asked of him. I know we would not be where we are today without the help of the Cultivate team! We love them!
.
The Cultivate team has gone above and beyond the call of duty. My son has improved so much. He is happier and all around better in his behavior. I 100% recommend this place and can say with certainty that Cultivate has the best interest for your child's ABA treatment. They truly work hard.

ABOUT ABA THERAPY

Understanding ABA Therapy for Children in Jacksonville

What Is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps children with autism learn vital skills, including communication, socialization, and adaptive behaviors. Backed by scientific research, ABA therapy is recognized as one of the most effective treatments for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), making it a valuable resource for early intervention and long-term progress.

The Goals of ABA Therapy

ABA therapy focuses on building skills that enhance a child’s independence and quality of life. The therapy is personalized to reduce challenging behaviors like aggression and self-injury while improving beneficial behaviors such as communication, self-care, and cooperation.

A fundamental aspect of ABA therapy is the ABC model—Antecedent, Behavior, and Consequence. This model helps therapists understand the triggers (antecedents) and outcomes (consequences) of specific behaviors, providing insight into why a behavior occurs. By using this model, we can guide children toward positive behavior patterns.

“Chaining” is another important method in ABA therapy, allowing children to learn complex tasks by breaking them down into smaller, manageable steps. Positive reinforcement, where desired behaviors are rewarded, encourages children to repeat those behaviors.

Our skilled clinicians use these principles to:

  • Assess and analyze behavior patterns
  • Implement strategies to support school-based goals and IEPs
  • Address challenging behaviors with proven interventions
  • Collaborate with families for a comprehensive approach to each child’s progress

At Cultivate, our ABA therapy services are tailored to meet the needs of each child and family, ensuring a unique and supportive experience.

The Benefits of ABA Therapy for Autism Treatment

While autism cannot be cured, ABA therapy has proven highly effective for reducing symptoms and improving skills, especially when introduced early. Studies show that children who participate in ABA therapy experience significant growth in their ability to communicate, interact socially, and live independently.

If you believe your child could benefit from ABA services, we encourage you to reach out. Our Jacksonville team is here to provide guidance and answer any questions about our autism therapy programs.
