Programs Offered in New London

1

Clinic-Based Services

Our ABA clinic provides a structured and nurturing environment for children to develop essential developmental and age-appropriate skills. Through a combination of play–based and adult–directed activities, children learn communication, daily living, pre-academic, and social readiness. Our experienced team facilitates these sessions, helping your child build independence and confidence in a setting that mirrors real-world scenarios. Clinic–based service models include regular parent and caregiver training to maximize learning opportunities outside of structured ABA Therapy sessions.

2

In-Home Services

In-home ABA therapy services target socially significant skills within the home environment. This approach targets communication, daily routines, and addresses specific challenges like communication, activities of daily living, and behavior management within a familiar home environment. Our team works closely with families to create personalized interventions, so we enhance engagement and foster independence within the home setting. Home–based service models include regular parent and caregiver training to maximize learning opportunities outside of structured ABA Therapy sessions.

3

In-School Services

Our In-school ABA therapy services provide vital support within both public and private school settings. In addition to providing direct services to your child, our team works closely with teachers and school staff to develop strategies that help with skill development and promote positive peer interactions. By integrating ABA principles into the school day, we enhance students’ learning experiences and support their success. When appropriate, in-school service delivery models include regular parent and caregiver training to maximize learning opportunities outside of structured ABA Therapy sessions.

Do You Suspect Your Child Might Have Autism?
We're Here to Help.

If you’ve noticed differences in how your child communicates, interacts, or plays, getting clarity early can make all the difference. At Cultivate, we help families take those first important steps by offering trusted autism screenings, such as the M-CHAT-R (for toddlers) and the CAST (for older children).

These screenings can provide valuable insight and help determine whether pursuing a formal diagnostic evaluation is the next step. Our team can help directly connect you to our diagnostic partners to ensure families have clear pathways to the support they need.

My son’s personality has blossomed within such a short time. His happiness skyrocketed once we broke down that wall. Not only is he learning from the staff here, but us parents as well. Again, much appreciation to everyone at Cultivate for their time, patience, AND the desire to help teach our kids.

frequently asked questions

Cultivate Behavioral Health and Education provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. We help kids learn and grow through ABA therapy that fits who they are. Whether we’re at home, school, or somewhere else, we focus on one thing: teaching real-life skills that make everyday life easier and more enjoyable for not only the individual but their family as well.

Yes, we can provide in-home ABA therapy services when it is the most appropriate environment for your child. After completing an assessment, our clinicians will recommend where therapy should begin to best support your child’s growth and needs. Sometimes that may mean starting in the clinic first, with the option to transition into the home as skills develop. Doing therapy at home can be super helpful. We can help your child right in the middle of life, such as during dinner, while playing, or even getting dressed! This makes learning natural and provides us with the opportunity to coach and empower parents in real-time.

What makes us different? That is an excellent question! Cultivate is different from other providers because we focus on the entire family and put the family at the center of it all. There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all plan here. We build therapy around your child and adjust as they grow and change. In addition, we are BHCOE accredited, which means that we meet high standards and know what we are doing. Even with the accreditation, the one attribute that families notice the most about us is our team. We care. A lot! We genuinely cheer on every little step forward because it is also a big deal to us. We are a part of your team.

The number of hours your child gets depends on their own needs. After we do an assessment, we figure that out. Most kids get somewhere between 10 to 40 hours a week. Once we’ve looked everything over, we’ll sit down with you and explain the plan, as well as how many hours we’re recommending and why it makes sense for your child.

When a family decides to move forward with services at Cultivate, they are getting a solid team behind them. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will build and guide the therapy plan. Then, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works with your child one-on-one every day. The team receives continuous training, regular check-ins, and keeps learning along the way. This is so your child gets the best care we can give.

Absolutely! We see parents as a big part of the team. You’re the one who’s there every day, so it’s key that you learn what we know. That way, you’ve got the tools to help your child grow, even when we’re not around. We’ll coach you, work with you side by side, and make sure you feel ready to use the same strategies at home, out in the world, and long after therapy ends.

Yes you will be a part of the therapy. Depending on your child’s plan, you might join in during sessions, or your BCBA might check in with you regularly to give tips and feedback. Either way, we’re here to make sure you feel supported and confident the whole time.

No two sessions are ever exactly the same because every child is unique. Some days may be more structured with clear lessons and steps, while other sessions may feel more relaxed and playful, built around your child’s favorite toys and activities. What stays consistent is that every session is purposeful, engaging, and designed to help your child learn and grow.

During the sessions, we break each skill down into small, trackable steps so that we can see progress early on and cheer for it. We also collect data every session. Your BCBA checks it often to keep your child’s plan up to date and on the right path. As parents, you will also get regular updates so that you can see the growth happening for yourself.

Yes, in many cases, we can provide therapy right at your child’s daycare or preschool. We partner closely with teachers and caregivers to weave our goals into your child’s daily routine. This allows your child to practice important skills in the very place they spend their day, making learning meaningful, natural, and immediately useful in real life.
