Often times with special needs kids you have to make tough decisions and find the right fit for therapy. Choosing Cultivate was a huge win for us. The Clinical Managers are amazing and educated and very involved in their company. They have a direct hand in what the therapists are implementing at home and in their centers. They have responded quickly and professionally to all our needs and requests. Our therapists are wonderful, and our boys love them. A lot of things in my life are stressful regarding my kid's needs but this is definitely not one of them.

Five stars is not even enough to rate them. My son has been going there since he was 2. He started out nonverbal, limited eye contact, limited social skills and missed a lot of his milestones. Fast forward 4 years later and he is a social butterfly, won’t stop talking and surpasses everything that is asked of him. I know we would not be where we are today without the help of the Cultivate team! We love them!
.
The Cultivate team has gone above and beyond the call of duty. My son has improved so much. He is happier and all around better in his behavior. I 100% recommend this place and can say with certainty that Cultivate has the best interest for your child's ABA treatment. They truly work hard.

Their team was beyond helpful in getting information to us for my nephew. Taking the time out of their personal life to get us contact information, etc. The Peru location especially has really made the process seamless and for that we are grateful. So wonderful to have a team of professionals like this in our community.

From the moment that we met our team and they were playing with our son, it felt very personalized. They were very engaged with him, and that is when we were starting to understand that he would have these different goals that he would try to achieve.

Cultivate has been a game changer for our little family. My child has grown SO much, cultivated so many relationships outside of our family, and all around has just gained so much confidence and maturity.

ABOUT ABA THERAPY

Understanding ABA Therapy

What Is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based treatment method that supports skill development and behavior management for children with autism. ABA therapy focuses on encouraging appropriate behaviors, improving communication, and developing social skills through structured, individualized interventions. This approach is widely regarded as one of the most effective treatments for autism.

At our Boca Raton and Palm Beach locations, we deliver ABA therapy that is tailored to each child’s specific strengths and challenges. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where your child can learn, grow, and thrive.

The Goals of ABA Therapy

The primary aim of ABA therapy is to improve adaptive behaviors, such as communication and self-care, while reducing challenging behaviors. Using techniques such as the ABC model—Antecedent, Behavior, and Consequence—our therapists gain insight into why certain behaviors occur and develop strategies to encourage positive actions.

For example, if a child exhibits inappropriate behaviors to gain attention, our clinicians might work on teaching alternative ways to express that need, fostering both social skills and independence. Another effective ABA technique is chaining, which involves breaking down complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps. This allows children to learn and practice each part of a task individually, building confidence along the way.

Positive reinforcement is another core component of ABA therapy, where children receive praise, tokens, or other incentives for achieving desired behaviors. This technique encourages children to repeat positive actions, promoting consistent progress.

Our ABA clinicians use these principles to:

  • Analyze behavior and set targeted goals
  • Support communication and social interaction
  • Implement strategies for reducing disruptive behaviors
  • Assist with school-related objectives and IEP goals

Each child’s program is as unique as they are, and our team is committed to adjusting and optimizing each plan as they grow and develop.

The Impact of ABA Therapy for Autism

While there is no cure for autism, ABA therapy has proven to be highly effective in helping children with ASD develop life skills and improve their ability to function independently. Numerous studies have shown that ABA therapy can significantly reduce challenging behaviors and enhance social and communication skills, particularly when started at a young age.

Our team at Cultivate in the West Palm Beach metro area is here to guide you through every step of the ABA therapy journey.
