If you’re looking for a meaningful way to support individuals with autism and their families in Connecticut, the 2025 Walk for Autism and Resource Fair is an event you won’t want to miss! The event will take place on May 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Quinnipiac University North Haven Campus. This annual walk brings together families, advocates, and professionals to raise awareness, celebrate neurodiversity, and connect with local resources.
Finding Community Support for ASD
For many families navigating an autism diagnosis, community support is essential. The Autism Walk and Resource Fair was created to unite individuals who understand the journey of raising and supporting a child with autism. Events like this help foster inclusivity, provide valuable information about services, and promote acceptance and advocacy for autistic individuals.
This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with multiple organizations in the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) community and learn about:
- Resources for individuals with autism and their families
- Social groups and community engagement opportunities
- Transition planning for young adults
- Pathways to employment and independent living
Who Can Attend?
The event is open to everyone—parents, caregivers, educators, therapists, businesses, and advocates who want to show their support for the ASD community. Whether you’re walking for a loved one or simply want to be part of an inspiring cause, all are welcome!

About The Autism Services & Resources Connecticut Organization (ASRC)
The Autism Walk and Resource Fair is organized by Autism Services & Resources Connecticut (ASRC), a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism through advocacy, education, and community engagement. ASRC plays a crucial role in supporting families by offering resources, workshops, and events that promote independence and enhance the quality of life for individuals on the spectrum.
Their mission aligns with the needs of many Connecticut families searching for ABA therapy, educational programs, and community-based supports to help their children thrive.
ABA Therapy for Autism in Connecticut
This event is also a great way for parents to gather information about ABA therapy in Connecticut, an evidence-based approach to supporting children with autism in developing essential life skills. Many local providers will be present to offer guidance and answer questions about autism services.
For families exploring ABA therapy, attending the Autism Walk is a great way to learn more about available resources. ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a highly effective therapy for children with autism, helping to improve communication, social skills, and independence. Many of the organizations present at the event provide ABA services and can offer guidance on how to begin the therapy process.
By attending this event, families can feel empowered, informed, and supported on their journey. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to be part of a movement that’s making a difference for individuals with autism in our community!
Last year, our Cultivate Behavioral Health & Education team of clinicians was among 2,000 individuals who joined the walk to support autism awareness and advocacy in Connecticut. Mark your calendar, gather your loved ones, and join us in supporting the ASRC cause for autism. If you have any questions on ABA therapy, contact us today!
