Michelle P. Waiver
(Only Available in Kentucky)
Behavior Support Services (BSS) are provided in the state of Kentucky through the Michelle P. Waiver. Through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, our clinical team will work with your family to increase your loved one’s access to their community and lead a more independent life. We will collaborate with you, your family, and other team members to create a plan that focuses on what matters to you including social skills, community access and inclusion, activities of daily living, employment, and behavior reduction.

The Michelle P. Waiver (MPW) is part of Kentucky’s 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Medicaid waiver program. It provides assistance to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to help them live in the community as independently as possible. Services are limited to 40 hours per week (total of all services). The average participant utilizes 3 hours of behavior supports per week on the MPW. This is determined based on need and can be increased or decreased depending on the needs of the participant.
