Supports for Community Living Waiver
(Only Available in Kentucky)
Our Behavior Support Services (BSS) through the Supports for Community Living (SCL) waiver are designed to support participants of the waiver and their families in their homes and community. With a primary focus on caregiver training, BSS programs target reducing problem behavior while increasing replacement behavior to facilitate independence in daily activities. Our trained clinicians work directly with participants, families, and other team members to foster a unified approach to behavior reduction and skill acquisition while implementing strategies founded in applied behavioral analysis.

The Supports for Community Living (SCL) waiver is part of Kentucky’s 1915(c) HCBS Medicaid waiver program. SCL provides assistance to individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability to help them live in the community as independently as possible. The average participant utilizes 3 hours of behavior supports per month on the SCL Waiver. This is determined based on need and can be increased or decreased depending on the needs of the participant.
