Describe the foam’s properties (soft, fluffy, colorful) to enhance language skills. 

3. Fine Motor Skills:

Materials Needed: 

  • 3 tablespoons of tear-free liquid soap 
  • 1 cup of water 
  • 1+ teaspoon of food coloring (choose vibrant colors for the rainbow effect) 


  • Measure out the liquid soap, water, and food coloring.  
  • Place the liquid soap, water, and food coloring into the blender and blend on low to medium speed until everything is well-mixed.  
  • NOTE: If you want your foam to be extra fluffy, add 1/2 cup of flour to the mixture and whisk the flour into the soap and water mixture using a hand whisk. 
  • Pour the rainbow soap foam into a sensory bin or a large container. 
  • Add small toys or objects (like plastic animals or shapes) to the foam.  
  • Use a stick or spoon to make designs in the foam. Draw rainbows, spirals, or zigzags!
